EURO 2020 tournament update

Minimum capacity of 22,500 at Wembley’s EURO 2020 games

UEFA has confirmed that there will be a return of spectators to the EURO 2020 venues, with Wembley welcoming a minimum capacity of 25% (approximately 22,500 spectators) to its seven fixtures that include England’s three group games, a round of 16 match, both semi finals and the showpiece final.

The FA continue to work collaboratively with the UK Government and local authorities in order to achieve the maximum spectator capacity possible for the latter stages of the tournament, which will be submitted to UEFA in early June.

Fans wishing to travel to the host countries to watch the matches will find it challenging due to ever-changing restrictions. Following the announcement ticket buyers will receive an email from UEFA informing them where they can find information regarding border entry restrictions and requirements for the host countries. UEFA have addressed the questions spectators might have following their announcement in the official spectator event guide, available on EURO2020.com and the UEFA EURO 2020 App, with additional information about COVID-19 mitigation measures at the stadium and travel information for each host city.

No exemptions will be provided for ticket holders of UEFA EURO 2020 matches at Wembley with all international ticket holders adhering to the laws and guidelines set out by the UK Government at the time of travel. The latest guidelines can be accessed here.

Ticket buyers will also be notified of an option to return tickets via the UEFA ticketing portal by 5pm UK time on Thursday, 22 April,  in order to receive a full refund.
