Following qualification for the World Cup on Tuesday evening with victory over Poland, Roy Hodgson's team now have two home matches at the end of the year as they start on the road to Brazil.

First up are Chile on Friday 15 November, the South Americans who also secured their place in Brazil with a win over Ecuador on Tuesday. They last visited Wembley in 1998 with two goals from Marcelo Salas seeing the visitors leave with a 2-0 victory.

Indeed Chile were England's first opponents at a World Cup Finals tournament, in Rio de Janeiro in 1950. Stan Mortensen scored England's first ever goal at the tournament, with a further strike from Wilf Mannion securing a 2-0 win. England have played Chile just five times, with two victories, two draws and one defeat.

The Three Lions played host to Germany in August 2007, in only the second full international to be played at the newly rebuilt stadium. Six years on the historic fixture will be resumed once more to honour 150 years since the formation of The Football Association.

England will welcome Germany to Wembley on Tuesday 19 November, in the final match of the year.

Home and away meetings with Brazil have been coupled with the return of traditional meetings with Scotland and Republic of Ireland, and now the return of Germany completes an exciting year of England matches.

England have marginally the better record of meetings between the two sides, winning 12 of the 28 games with Germany prevailing in eleven. Germany were victorious on the previous meeting between the teams, a FIFA World Cup Second Round match in Bloemfontein in 2010, and also won on their most recent visit to Wembley.

Those victories for Germany sandwiched a win for England in Berlin in 2008, becoming the first side to achieve that feat in 35 years.
