UEFA EURO 2028 TOURNAMENT LAUNCH CELEBRATED ACROSS UK AND IRELAND

Wembley Stadium will host eight fixtures at UEFA EURO 2028 following the official tournament launch


The tournament begins at the national stadium of Wales in Cardiff, on Friday 9 June before concluding in an exciting final here at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 9 July - to be played at 17:00 GMT / 18:00 CEST. Wembley will also host two semi-finals, one quarter final and four group game fixtures.

Staged in nine world-class stadia across eight famous Host Cities, UEFA EURO 2028 UK & Ireland will be a compelling showcase of elite football. It will include:

- 51 matches overall involving 24 teams across 31 days
- Host nations playing all group games in front of own fans if they qualify directly
- England will play their playing opening match at Manchester City Stadium, followed by two games at Wembley Stadium
- Ireland, Scotland and Wales would play in Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff respectively

The tournament will have three kick-off times: 14:00 BST / 15:00 CET; 17:00 BST / 18:00 CET; 20:00 BST / 21:00 CET.

All host cities will stage a minimum of two different groups to provide local fans with a variety of teams to watch in their region.

The schedule has been developed with fan fairness in mind with travel between games to be limited as much as possible for teams and their supporters with sustainable public transport promoted.
