The Wembley arch lights up London

Six partners in Wembley have collaborated to launch a one-stop initiative offering event organisers a new way of accessing Wembley’s unique event spaces.

Wembley,London’s Event Capital is the website which underpins the initiative and features The SSE Arena, Wembley; London Designer Outlet; Wembley Park; Hilton London Wembley as well as the home of football, Wembley Stadium connected by EE.

It is designed to help event planners choose facilities appropriate for their needs from those available across the site.

The new website is designed with busy event managers in mind. It features photographs of all of the venues’ interiors, key features, site maps and case studies of previous events.

Wembley offers state-of-the-art conferencing facilities which range from large-scale banqueting halls in the Stadium, The Drum and the Hilton to the historic interior of The SSE Arena, all just 20 minutes from the West End with fantastic connections to key London airports.

Overall Wembley has 18,000 square metres of indoor event spaces, 1,400 hotel rooms and the capacity for 20,400 delegates. There are also 3,000 parking spaces available for event attendees.

The venues are set within 70,000 square metres of expansive public realm which can be hired and shaped to create a spectacular multi-venue offering, with temporary structures or outdoor activities to give delegates a unique experience at Wembley. Additionally, Wembley Park offers London’s only outlet shopping, with 70 stores and restaurants and a 9-sceen cinema complex providing an additional attractor for delegates attending events.

Heath Harvey, ‎Club Wembley Director at Wembley Stadium, said: “Wembley Stadium has fantastic conference and banqueting spaces that can be used year-round, and we are delighted that these can now be accessed through this unique online hub. A large number of leading companies are already attracted to Wembley, and we hope this new initiative will reinforce our status as London’s event capital. We look forward to welcoming even more attendees and participants this year.”

Bernadette Gilligan, General Manager of the Hilton, London Wembley, said: “The Hilton, London Wembley offers an excellent choice for hosting meetings or events and our fantastic range of 361 rooms ensures that guests can be accommodated before or after the day’s activity.”

James Saunders, Chief Operating Officer of Quintain, said:  “Traditionally all corporate events over 1,000 people have headed overseas because of the lack of sufficient hotel rooms and venues in close proximity. Now, Wembley offers a compelling UK option in this market. The various venues at Wembley Park have always worked closely together, and this website allows us to jointly showcase our unique events offering for the first time. We are confident that the quality of our facilities, combined with the area’s iconic status and the huge spaces we are able to offer to organisers, will ensure Wembley continues to attract the biggest names in the industry to our site.”
