In summer 2015 the Foo Fighters will return to Wembley Stadium connected by EE for the first time since their record breaking shows of 2008.

The rock band, fronted by the singer and lead guitarist Dave Grohl, will play two gigs on 19 & 20 June 2015.

Grohl made the announcement on The Zane Lowe Show on Radio One on Wednesday evening and he was clearly delighted to be returning to the venue where 86,000 people turned out to see them play six years ago.

"It's pretty awesome", the Foo Fighters front man said of the national stadium.

"You get a little nervous excitement about two minutes before you go on stage there."

As well as enjoying the incredible show The Foos always put on for their fans, those in attendance at Wembley next year will get an exclusive treat with the legendary Iggy Pop signed up to play the two Wembley dates.

Royal Blood are also on the bill for a gig which is likely to go down in history as a wonderful Wembley occasion.
