Wembley Shortlisted At Sport Industry Awards 2012

Wembley’s Greatest Event has been shortlisted for the Sports Industry Award 2012 in the Best Use of Digital Communications in Sport Category.

Wembley’s Greatest Event has been shortlisted for the Sports Industry Award 2012 in the Best Use of Digital Communications in Sport Category.

Wembley’s entry included the launch of Wembley’s Facebook page along with the Super Fan competition, the re-launch of Wembleystadium.com, Wembley’s Greatest Event Campaign and the Wembley 360 23-Gigapixel panoramic photograph. In addition to the Wembley team, agencies involved included; Dare Digital, M&C Sport and Entertainment & AMS Media.

Wembley’s competition for this award includes; Badminton England – PlayBadminton, Betfair - Stars and Strikes, NatWest - The NatWest Secret Cricketer, Nivea for Men - The Great Football Experiment and Slazenger - Slazenger Stick Cricket. To see the full shortlist click here.

Over 160 campaigns, brands, teams and events entered the awards. The Sport Industry Group worked with 40 key figures from the industry along with Deloitte to ensure the list of nominees represents the best the industry had to offer in 2011.

The shortlists will now go forward for consideration by the main Judging Panel, who will decide the winners for each category.

The results will be announced a the Sport Industry Awards ceremony on Wednesday 2nd May 2012.
