Group Events Director, David Thomson has been appointed to the Wembley Stadium Board of Directors.

David joined Wembley Stadium in September 2007. In his role of Group Events Director he is responsible for all stadium event operations, Group Ticketing, Health and Safety Compliance, the Club Wembley experience and improving and expanding the stadium event calendar.

David said of his appointment: “I am delighted to have been formally appointed to the Wembley Stadium Board and look forward to working closely with my fellow Board members to develop the business and further strengthen the stadium’s event calendar.”

Wembley Stadium’s Chairman, David Bernstein said: “This is a well deserved promotion, reflecting the excellent work carried out by David and the importance of the post he holds in both running and developing events at the stadium.”

The next major event at Wembley Stadium is U2 who play on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 August - 2 of 12 concert nights at Wembley Stadium this year.
