Tranmere Rovers took on Forest Green Rovers in the Vanarama National League Play Off Final with both teams chasing a much coveted place in The English Football League.
Forest Green were returning to Wembley for the second time in two years after their defeat in this fixture last year.
And it was Forest Green who took the early lead with a left footed screamer from the edge of the box into the bottom corner from Kaiyne Woolery.
But the lead didn’t last long as Connor Jennings smashed in the equaliser, again from outside the box, to draw the teams level after 22 minutes.
However, Forest Green stunned Tranmere with two more late goals in the first half to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
And that’s how things ended with all the goals coming in the first half and Forest Green Rovers are promoted to the English Football League!
