Madonna, the Queen of Pop, returned to play Wembley in style on Thursday night, wowing her fans with a sizzling show featuring four sections - Pimp, Old Scholl, Gypsy and Rave.
DJ Paul Oakenfold warmed up the crowd before the 50 year old superstar put on a spectacular concert with a number of energetic dance routines and stunning costume changes. Madonna was watched by a 75,000 strong crowd including celebrity fans Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate hudson and Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas.
Madonna played tracks from her new album, Hard Candy, along with some of her best known hits including Into The Groove, Vogue, Ray Of Light, La Isla Bonita, Borderline, Express Yourself, Human Nature, Like A Prayer and Music. She was joined on stage by a plethora of special guests on video including Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Her stage set also featured some awesome props including a white Cadillac and a boxing ring.
Previously Madonna has played Wembley in 1987, 1990 and 1993 and in 2007 as part of the Live Earth concert.
Madonna now goes on to play Paris on 20 September before crossing the Atlantic and starting on the US leg of her Sticky & Sweet tour on 3 October in New Jersey before concluding in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 21 December.
